Blind Date is a new, one-on-one performance experience in which you are invited to go on a blind date with a stranger in Newcastle’s CBD. Created by Melbourne based performance artists Big One Little One, the idea is something that will be a first for Newcastle.

If you’re willing to give it a go, participants will be blindfolded and led through a series of sensory experiences aimed to place you at the centre of the creative process. You will be led by your date and along the way, you’ll undertake unique journey of discovery through the streets, parks, alleys and heart of the city.

Here’s how it works:

Due to popular demand, the season has been extended with spots still available this weekend.

1. Email your interest in taking part to theblinddateproject@gmail.com and let them know two preferred times this Saturday & Sunday (any times between 10am-6pm – you will need to allow up to ninety minutes for the experience).
2. Big One Little One will get in touch with you to confirm your performance time and send you a brief survey to complete.
3. You will send back the survey, and receive confirmation of the location where you will meet your date.
4. All you will then need to do is turn up at the designated location and time and wait for your date to arrive.

Spots are limited so if this interests you, get in quickly! There may be another short season later in December. More info.
