Frock On! More Newcastle Fashion This Weekend

No sooner than we’ve said goodbye to Newcastle Fashion Week for another year, does the next fantastic local fashion event pop up! Frock On Newcastle is coming up this weekend, and is another chance to check out local fashion talent and contribute to a great cause.

The night of nights is being held at Newcastle’s City Hall this Saturday, 3 August and will showcase entries to the Frock On! fashion design competition and provides support to ASPECT, a school for children with Autism.

For the design competition, there a seven categories including swimwear, millinery, HSC encouragement, recycled, cocktail, street wear and red carpet. The entries will be put on show by a selection of local models. These include Kirsten O’Connell, who won Face of Frock On this year, Tegan Martin, Miss Universe Australia runner up & the 2010 Face of Frock On, and Sarah Boulazeris who was just recently in the top 20 of Australia’s Next Top Model.

Westfield Kotara will also be showcasing key trends for spring and summer to keep all Newcastle fashionistas up to date!

As well as checking out the cutting edge of local fashion, you’ll get a glass of bubbly and some nibbles to snack on, and be able to enjoy a performance from the ASPECT choir and hear from Sally Thibault, who will share her story as a mother of a child with Asperger’s Syndrome.
