Hunter Valley Vineyards

We are blessed with one of the best wine regions in Australia, if not the world. As I’m partial to a drop of wine I decided it would be in the best interest of all to walk and capture the vineyards around Pokolbin and Lovedale. Each week “The Grid” captures moments in a selected area of the Hunter region that they might not otherwise notice.

Doug Hall

Doug Hall is a photographer and designer who specialises in portrait, wedding, commercial and fine art photography. In 2000, Doug discovered a passion for photography which has blossomed into a full time obsession. In 2008, at the encouragement of his girlfriend, Doug officially founded GlossyFX and in 2009 Doug turned to full-time photography and digital design. Doug has taken the leap of faith, believing in the personal direction of enjoying life - work & play. He has been invited to the Hunter Region School of Photography as a lecturer, where he now passes on his knowledge and passion for photography to new students.

Great shots again Doug! I’m out in the Hunter Valley most weekends working at peoples weddings. I have to say I never tire of going out to all the beautiful venues in the hunter (I work for XYDJ so I get to see them all - and more importantly try their food!). It’s a magical place and despite it being so close to Newcastle I find a lot of my friends very rarely take the opportunity to get out there.

I agree Simon. I have to say that the Hunter Valley is one of my Fav places in Australia. Even if I move away I am sure I will be drawn back to this amazing part of the country.
