Newcastle has been slowly building a reputation as a hive of creativity with a range of awesome initiatives to encourage the artistic and creative industries. So what are we doing right and how can we build on this further? What attitudes do we need to promote and what simple things can we do?

A great night to talk, think and dream. Idea Bombing Newcastle is your creative meeting place. It’s about coming together to share ideas and hear about innovative projects, activities and news happening in and out of Newcastle.
What is Idea Bombing Newie?
IBNewie seeks to engage the community, foster creative ideas and promote ways of turning those ideas into reality or ‘closing the idea loop’. We seek to bring a uniquely Novocastrian flavour to the creative exchange and hope to present themes that are relevant to what’s happening in Newcastle today. We’ll be inviting our speakers to talk about the things that inspire them, things to inspire us and things that are happening in Newcastle now. Before and after the talks, everyone will have the opportunity to bomb an idea on the wall and to engage with other ideas for improving Newcastle.
About the hosts
Stephanie and Emily are originally from Newcastle, having both worked and lived in various places before coming back here. Emily is an Urban Planner by profession and Stephanie has a background in marketing, business and the creative industries currently working in marketing and sales for an awesome organic beverage company.
About the speakers
IBNewie has got together four awesome speakers who know a thing or two about creativity in different forms to get your creative juices flowing before you provide your own ideas!
The speakers for the evening are; Roderick Smith, Luke Burrell, Grizzel, Benjamin Greaves.
