Newcastle’s Biggest ‘MAD’ Tea

On Friday, 4th May Honeysuckle will come to life when the Cancer Council holds it’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, where Lord Mayor John Tate will officially launch Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for 2012.

The event is open to media and the public and promises to be a fantastic morning with a wonderful selection of food from local businesses such as Jordon’s Bakery and Coco Monde, and appearances from members of the local theatre community as your honorary mad hatters.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea hopes to lessen the impact of cancer in the lives of Australians and Novacastrians, and what better way to do it then with a nice warm ‘cuppa’? Since 1994 the event has continuously grown, and is now one of the Cancer Councils most recognizable and loved events. This year is set to be a big one, with over 1 million people around the country expected to be sip their teas in the fight against cancer.

So come down, have a ‘cuppa’ and some cake, and show your support for this great Cancer Council initiative!
