Photographing Charlestown

Photos of Charlestown, Newcastle

At this time of year, Charlestown Square is probably the busiest place in town, and was the subject for my Grid entry this week. There were Christmas decorations aplenty as shoppers looked for the perfect gift. I worked my way around the surrounding streets to try and incorporate the whole area, however the Square is definitely the dominant feature. I had fun playing with the varying colours available, and the dense urban environment.

Each week “The Grid” features photos of a selected area of the Newcastle & Hunter region, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
