Photographing Newcastle Harbourside

Newcastle Harbour

Newcastle Harbour is often enjoyed with a cool beverage against a magnificent sunset - but it takes on an entirely different look when the clouds roll in. This week I decided to use the muggy weather we’ve been having for some clean B/W views of the water. As I assume is the case for many Novocastrians, the walk along the foreshore is somewhere I keep coming back to time and time again. As I was shooting, a massive ship made its way out of the Harbour - a view that couldn’t be mistaken for being anywhere else.

Each week “The Grid” features photos of a selected area of the Newcastle & Hunter region, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
