As we move into the last few weeks of work (or the first weeks of holidays for students) it’s time to think about the fun to be had ringing in the new year! Whether you’re after waterside cocktails, rockin’ live music or something the whole family can enjoy this New Years Eve in Newcastle, there’s something for everyone. The Brewery

Each year The Brewery pulls out all stops & brings some big acts to town to party harbourside. This year Triple J favourites Gypsy & the Cat and Sparkadia will hit the stage, giving you chance to soak up some Australian tunes with a great vantage point for the Newcastle Foreshore fireworks. Tickets are $50, or there's a VIP option for $150, and are available on the website, also from Oztix and the venue itself. This one is sure to be packed, so get in quickly! 18+ only.

Newcastle Foreshore

The thrill of staying up for the fireworks on New Years Eve is sure to delight the kids, so if you're looking for a family friendly option why not head to Newcastle Foreshore. There will be amusements, food & live entertainment. Keep in mind that it's a popular destination with limited parking so you might prefer to jump on a bus or train to Newcastle Station. Fireworks are at 9pm and 12am.

The Great Northern Hotel
