Newcastle Music Every Day This Week

If diminished chords, wacky time signatures and extreme jazz skillz are your thing, don't miss this weekly chance to get up and jam with some of Newcastle's finest. You also have the chance to win a dinner for two at the pub if you're voted the audience favourite of the evening. Favourites all come together in the 12th week for an all star competition! It's great as a spectator or as a participant, and you'll find a friendly crowd of regulars.

If you've got Friday on your mind, support locals Benjalu at their EP launch at The Brewery. They'll be supported by Nick Saxon and One Jonathon, kicking off at 9pm.

Saturday night's alright for a lot of things, including punkskametal with the Star F*cking Hipsters and AC4 at The Cambridge Hotel.

If you're still kicking on Sunday and fancy clubbing, you'll find many others like you at the King Street Hotel's Any Given Sunday from 8pm - midnight.

Monday night is another opportunity to get out there with your instruments! Check out the Monday Music Club at the Northern Star Hotel, Hamilton, from 8pm. All welcome!

Tuesday is time to test your musical knowledge at The Cambridge Hotel's Music & Movie Trivia Night. Rego is from 6:45pm and the night is hosted by music journo Nick Milligan. You can win tickets to gigs, CDs, pizzas and jugs of beer - what's not to love?!

Surf rock king Flash O'Sheedy takes to the Wicko stage with his band The Instromatics to kick off this open mic night. Flash is known for his showmanship, and you'll get a chance to bust out those go-go moves.
