Auraflox art exhibition @ Art Systems Wickham

Local artists Peter Speight and Ahn Wells are excited to announce the opening of their Auraflox exhibition at Art Systems Wickham today.

Renowned throughout the Hunter for his bold sculptures skillfully carved from found camilla wood Speight’s work has been known to simultaneously shock and seduce viewers.

Alternatively Wells’s method with white printmaker’s paper and light hues initially seems to be far more minimalistic. It is not until closer inspection that you appreciate the delicate manipulation of

the paper surface, the obsessive puncturing of tiny holes layered with pencil, paint and oil sticks.

Despite having known each other for the past decade it has not been until this year that they’ve exhibited together.

Open from the 20th of July to the 5th of August, 12-4pm Fri-Sun you can check out the exhibition at the Art Systems Wickham at 40 Annie Street, WICKHAM 2293.
