2012 Newcastle Short Story CompetitionA call for all budding Newcastle writers - to celebrate 2012 as the National Year of Reading, The City of Newcastle & the Hunter Writers’ Centre are proud partners in bringing Newcastle’s literary geniuses a chance to participate in the 2012 Newcastle Short Story Competition!

There are a range of prizes available for the creative mind lucky enough to win, including cash prizes as well as the chance to get your story published in an anthology of short listed entries.

So are you ready to make your mark on the Newcastle literary scene? Put your pen to paper then as stories up to 2000 words are invited to be submitted before 5pm Friday 17th February 2012!

Jenna is a final year Public Relations and Business Studies student at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst.
