Now, I love my Saturday morning brunch, & in Newcastle, there is not many better spots for this than sitting on the Wharf overlooking the Harbour. Every weekend the Honeysuckle Hotel they bring out the breakfast menu to be enjoyed on their deck. Reasonably priced with nothing over $20, it is all so good, but be sure to try the Spanish poached eggs. Then if you feel like a hair of the dog, or even starting early, get into the $22 Corona buckets, which are available all weekend!

The Cambo, renowned for it's 'different' feel & visits from some of the best acts of all time, hosts a different band every Saturday night. Generally they will accompany the gigs with a killer theme for the night! Definitely the place to go on a Saturday night if you want something a bit more unconventional, especially when compared with some of Newy's other pubs & clubs.

Hosted every Saturday down one of Newcastle's most cosmopolitan locations, the Hamilton Clock Tower Markets started in 2009 to create a community street market with a European feel. With a wide array of stalls that bring an added experience to that of Beaumont Street, you are sure to find something special. Be sure to donate to the charity stalls included in the market also!

It's your night to shine at the Gateway Saturday nights! Karaoke kicks off at 10pm with Crystal Fiva in the Front Bar, and when you're done there you can meander into Club G for free to see some local DJ's. If you get there early enough too, be sure to visit the Bistro & suss out the $5 meals available on the Blackboard menu.

If it's edible, useful, original, collectable, loveable, sensual or good fun, you are sure to find it at the Market Street Markets in the centre of Newcastle! This is the region's newest market & is open every Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and 10am to 6pm in the summer months.

Head down to the local Jeso for something different on a Saturday night. Aussie Hold 'Em Poker is on tonight & there are huge cash prizes on offer every week! Starts at 7pm. Don't forget to try some of their delicious Yum Cha while you're there as well!
