Saturday is my favourite day of the week, & I am sure I am not alone in saying that. So, it’s only fitting that Newcastle has plenty events & happenings to keep all the Novocastrians entertained over the weeked.

Honeysuckle Hotel

Now, I love my Saturday morning brunch, & in Newcastle, there is not many better spots for this than sitting on the Wharf overlooking the Harbour. Every weekend the Honeysuckle Hotel they bring out the breakfast menu to be enjoyed on their deck. Reasonably priced with nothing over $20, it is all so good, but be sure to try the Spanish poached eggs. Then if you feel like a hair of the dog, or even starting early, get into the $22 Corona buckets, which are available all weekend!

The Cambridge Hotel

The Cambo, renowned for it's 'different' feel & visits from some of the best acts of all time, hosts a different band every Saturday night. Generally they will accompany the gigs with a killer theme for the night! Definitely the place to go on a Saturday night if you want something a bit more unconventional, especially when compared with some of Newy's other pubs & clubs.
