A visit to Mrs Porters house is starting to become a Mother's day tradition in Newcastle. The house contains a century’s worth of memorabilia to the lives of Florence Porter, and her daughters Ella and Hazel: photographs, clothes, needlework, furnishings, furniture, and other household goods. This year, there will be a special focus on an exhibition of tea sets. The house will be open from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday the 13th of May. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children over 5 years and pensionners. Entry is free for children under 5 years as well as National Trust Members.

The surfhouse Restaurant will be open for lunch, offering amazing views as well as a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The perfect Mother's Day treat.
