Wickham

If you don’t set yourself challenges that push your skills and abilities then you can never better. So for this week’s walk I gave myself the challenge of shooting only with my iPhone. To increase the difficulty I also said I would not post edit any image. All images would have to be straight out of the phone. I decided to use an app called Instagram to shoot. I headed down to the lovely Wickham with my iPhone and started shooting.

Doug Hall is a photographer and designer who specialises in portrait, wedding, commercial and fine art photography. In 2000, Doug discovered a passion for photography which has blossomed into a full time obsession. In 2008, at the encouragement of his girlfriend, Doug officially founded GlossyFX and in 2009 Doug turned to full-time photography and digital design. Doug has taken the leap of faith, believing in the personal direction of enjoying life - work & play. He has been invited to the Hunter Region School of Photography as a lecturer, where he now passes on his knowledge and passion for photography to new students.

Love the feel of these shots. I live close by and have always enjoyed the mix of the hardcore industrial vista mixed with the realism of people and gritty street scenes. Love the bridge and lamp shot - Carrington / Paris - love it!
