Friday 8 April

Urban music lovers head to CBD Hotel for some beats by Urban Freeflow, Project XIX, Nate-B and Jester from 8pm. Entry is free.

Want to find your groove? Newcastle’s leading funk band Funkwit are playing at the Lass O’Gowrie Hotel tonight at 8pm. Entry is free.

Saturday 9 April

Tonight the mixers of Ministry of Sound’s Electro House Sessions 3 are planning an audio-visual assault on club goers. Make sure you check out The Only at King Street Hotel.

Want to throw some pomp into your week? A six course wine-matched degustation menu at Lizottes might tickle your fancy. Wines have been matched by wine expert Nick Flanagan from Saddler’s Creek. Tickets are $99.90. Book here.

Thursday 14 April

For dinner and dancing, head to Lizottes tonight. The Newcastle Dance Collective are performing their luscious combination of body art and dance. Tickets are $43.00. Book here.

Friday 15 April

The Owls are playing at The Cambridge Hotel tonight. Make sure you experience their infectious psychadelic tunes and dirty blues riffs. More info.

Another testament to the creativity that is rife throughout this town! There’s a book launch happening at Roost Creative. The book in question, called The Land of the Living, is a photo-graphic novella written by James Turvey and photographed by Joe Nigel Coleman and was shot on location in Newcastle. There’ll be food, drinks, pretty things to look at and a live book reading from 7:30pm at Suite 4, 426 Hunter St, Newcastle.

If a little bit country is your thing, then don’t miss Bob Corbett & The Roo Grass Band at Lizottes Newcastle. They’ve just toured 21,000km around Australia and performed at some of the country’s biggest festivals. Now they’re home to entertain you - so don’t miss Bob, Sue Carson, Dave Carter & Rob Long tonight! More info.
