The Earth Beneath our Feet is a free exhibition for all ages.You can see unbelievable minerals and fossils, explore beautiful Australia, and learn how the Earth is constantly reshaping itself. The Exhibition will include:

  • Earth’s energy and mineral resources
  • The search for an energy sustainable future
  • Environmental effects of the use of resources
  • Understanding Earth’s processes that control plate tectonics
  • The evolution of sedimentary basins and deformed mountain belt

Professional Bull riding @ The Newcastle Entertainment Centre

The Brendon Clarke Invitational presents a 3 hour action packed Bull Riding event. This Professional Bull Riding event is a choreographed concert spectacular consisting of twenty-two riders all eager for glory as they strive to overcome the power of the 52 most extreme bucking bulls in a head to head battle of power, agility and the fight of the fittest 8 seconds at a time.

Sunday 13th

The Newcastle Farmers Markets @ Newcastle Showground

Every Sunday local farmers gather at the Newcastle Showground to showcase their local Hunter Valley produce. In an array of fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and  plants, the vibrant atmosphere at the markets never falls flat.

Talk and gain tips from the farmers, taste test their produce, and socialise with the locals.

Combined with various art and craft products, the markets offer various stalls of good quality clothes and jewellery.

Tuesday 15th

Ukastle Ukestra @ Croatian Wickham Sports Club

This weekly evening event is a community focused Ukulele  session, facilitated and directed by Mark Jackson.

Everyone is encouraged to join in, especially those with no ukulele experience.
