Thursday 12th September
Rufus @ The Cambridge Hotel
Is there anything the boys from Rufus can’t do? From multiple sold out shows in Australia, sold out parties in NYC in front of band members from LCD Soundsystem, remixes and originals from Kitsuné (FRA) and Plant (USA) to skateboard riots in L.A. and main stage festival appearances in Moscow, Rufus are taking on the world, one gig at a time. After many hours locked in their home studio/dungeon, writing their debut album ATLAS, the band will be playing their new material for the first time including singles ‘Take Me’ and hype machine #1 ‘Desert Night’. Rufus will be playing at the Cambridge Hotel this Thursday night and supported by Brisbane’s YesYou.

Bob Evans @ Lizottes
Following up on the recent release of his fourth album “Familiar Stranger”, singer-songwriter and ARIA Award winner Bob Evans will be taking his wit, charm and catchy melodies to regional audiences along the east coast of Australia on his “Welcome Stranger Tour” over August and September.
Bob Evans is the alter ego of Kevin Mitchell, who has carved a career for himself as a solo artist that has become just as successful as his long standing career fronting Jebediah - not to mention the role he plays as one quarter of Basement Birds.
Reminiscent of the old days, Bob will be driving himself along the coast, playing solo shows and giving fans an amazing opportunity to be up close and personal, getting to know Bob as he makes his way from town to town.
The “Welcome Stranger Tour” regional solo tour follows Evans’ recent national full band 16-date capital city tour. Tickets for the “Welcome Stranger Tour” are on sale now and Bob will be appearing at Lizottes Newcastle this Sunday night.

The champion will be taking on another unbeaten boxer, Canelo Alvarez. There is not much chance of a Floyd Mayweather defeat as he is in his best form despite being around 13 year older than his challenger. Russel Morris: The Sharkmouth & Hits Tour @ Wests New Lambton
Three years ago, Russell Morris started his labour of love “Sharkmouth”. The album has reached number 6 on the Aria Charts and is still in the top 25.
“I’ve always wanted to do an album based on those elusive Australian characters, stories and legends. My grandmother lived to the ripe old age of 93, and during her lifetime she would always regale me with stories about her youth, and what things were like ‘back then’” said the legendary Australian singer/songwriter.
The album has been written about legendary Australian characters like Les Darcy, Thomas Archer, Squizzy Taylor, Phar Lap and even The Sydney Harbour Bridge, all the great Aussie icons.
Russell will be performing songs from Sharkmouth as well as all his hits and will be joined by special guest, local comedian Gareth Wasik for the Hunter Region Tour. Catch Russell Morris at Wests New Lambton this Sunday night!
